Brightspace at Johnstown Garden Centre have just launched their new Ultrawarm construction system for Sunrooms. This construction method, using heavy duty aluminum rafters instead of steel delivers a U value of just .16 so you can be sure you will be cosy in the winter. The new design is in response to consumer demand for a more cost effective sunroom system and also for maximizing sunlight. This new sunroom construction eliminates the need for a full steel structure which can often result in bulky steel uprights, upsetting the view to the garden and reducing the amount of sunlight.
Most of the sunrooms we build in Dublin take weeks to construct but this new system now ensures that most projects can be built now in just 4 days once the base work has been prepared. With less time on site, this reduces costs even further for our customers without compromising on the quality of the build. The light weight but sturdy aluminium frame does away with the need for a steel uprights so normal conservatory framing can be used on the sides maximising the amount of glass and the light to the inside room. The photos above show the engineering involved in the sunroom roof.
